IMPD Homicide detectives continue to investigate after fatal shooting

INDIANAPOLIS- On December 11, 2017, at 10:19 p.m., officers were dispatched to 7050 Kingswood Court on a report of a person shot.  When officers arrived they located an adult male who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound.  Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

Homicide detectives responded to the location and began canvassing the area for witnesses.  At this point in the investigation, detectives are unsure of the possible motive or suspect(s) information.   The Marion County Forensic Services Agency also responded to the scene to assist with identifying and collecting forensic evidence. The Marion County Coroner’s Office (MCCO) will determine the exact manner and cause of death. The name of the victim can be obtained from the MCCO after proper identification and next-of-kin notification.
