IMPD East District Narcotics makes multiple arrests, recovers multiple firearms

INDIANAPOLIS –On January 16,2019 Indianapolis Metropolitan Police department (IMPD) East District Narcotics Detectives, with the assistance of SWAT, executed a knock an announce search warrant at 10219 Sutters Court.  This particular warrant was part of the IMPD East District 60 Homicide / Violence response.  Information was received from an anonymous source stating there was narcotics activity at this location with a large volume of traffic.  Detectives conducted undercover investigations in order to secure a search warrant.  Surveillance determined that there was a steady amount of traffic from this address back and forth to the 2100 block of Mitthoeffer area.  During the execution of the search warrant, 3 adult males were located and placed under arrest.   Recovered was 4 firearms, $1052 cash, cocaine, marijuana scales, pipes and baggies.

In 2018, IMPD ramped up efforts to identify serial shooters, disrupt violent crime, and remove crime guns from the community. IMPD ended 2018 with a clearance rate of 64%, a more than 20% increase over the prior year.
