IMPD Detectives Arrest Man For Recent Homicide

INDIANAPOLIS-On Monday, January 31, 2022 Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) arrested 19-year-old Anthony Rhea for his alleged involvement in a homicide.
 
On Thursday, January 27, 2022, just after 2:30 p.m., IMPD Northwest District officers were dispatched to W. 38th Street & N. White River Pkwy E. Drive, reference a person shot. Officers arrived and located an adult female, identified as 21-year-old Alexis Dompier inside of a vehicle who sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound(s). Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) arrived, and unfortunately, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.  
 
IMPD Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin their investigation. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist in identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence.  The Marion County Coroner’s Office assisted and will determine the exact manner and cause of death.
 
IMPD Homicide detectives continued to work diligently along with the Marion County Forensic Agency investigating this case.  They identified Anthony Rhea as a person of interest in this case.  The IMPD Violent Crime Unit (VCU) was able to locate Anthony Rhea and detain him for questioning.  Detectives arrested Anthony Rhea for murder for his role in this case.  The Marion County Prosecutors Office will review the case and make a final charging decision.

An arrest is merely an accusation.  The suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
