IMPD and IFD Arson Detectives Make Arrest on Several Local Arsons

INDIANAPOLIS –  On Tuesday July 2, 2019, IFD responded to a fire in the 1800 block of N. Talbott Street. The fire appeared suspicious in nature to the fireman at the scene.  IMPD and IFD Arson Detectives responded and began their investigation.  During their investigation detectives were able to identify 40-year-old David Bradshaw as a person of interest.

Through the collaboration of the Arson Unit, VCU (Violent Crimes Unit), and the U.S. Marshall’s Service, David Bradshaw was located in Evansville, IN. David Bradshaw was believed to have involvement in the following arson investigations:

PD140099840 – 401 N Riley Ave 9/18/2014
IP180163288 – 1244 N New Jersey St 12/25/2018
IP180163293 – 1446 N Alabama St 12/25/2018
IP190069924 – 1851 N Talbott St 7/2/2019
IP190069935 – 2124 N Pennsylvania St 7/2/2019
IP190070023 – 2064 N Alabama St 7/2/2019

Detectives arrested Bradshaw for his alleged involvement in these incidents.  The Marion County Prosecutors Office will review the case and make a charging decision.

A charge of a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
