I-65 Closure in Downtown Indianapolis July 1-Aug 5

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) would like to remind Indianapolis residents and those expected to travel through the Indianapolis area between July 1^st and August 5^th, 2018, that I-65 will be shut down in both directions in the downtown area. The impacted area will be between 21st and Meridian St. Those who normally utilize I-65 are advised to seek alternate routes. More information on the closure can be found here:

If you live and/or work in the downtown area, some recommended local routes are as follows:
To continue South from I-65, into the downtown area:

• Exit at 21^st St.
• Go west to Dr. MLK Jr Blvd
• Go south to downtown

To continue North from I-65 (NB)

• Exit on Meridian.
• Go west to Illinois
• Go north to 21^st
• Take 21^st to I-65
