Two individuals have been arrested and charged with murder for their alleged involvement in separate but recent homicides.
Nickolas Shannon was arrested November 29, 2017 for his alleged involvement in the murder and robbery of Jared Dowell. The victim in this case was killed at the Marinas apartments located at 2100 Shoreland Drive on November 21, 2017.
James Johnson III was arrested November 30, 2017 for his alleged involvement in the murder of James Echols. The victim was killed in the 5300 block of East 40th Street on October 11, 2017. All charging information will be released by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. The IMPD greatly appreciates the cooperation and tips provided by the community in conjuction with both criminal investigations.
