INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives are pleased to announce that an arrest has been made in the shooting death of 19-year-old Fairley Griffie that occurred on 06/04/2017.
Detectives have identified and arrested 20-year-old Jordan Taber for his involvement in the death of Fairley Griffie. Through the hardwork and cooperation between IMPD Violent Crimes Unit and the U.S. Marshals, Griffie was located and arrested in the morning of 12/24/2017 in Illinois. Griffie is currently awaiting extradition back to Indianapolis for the charges of murder and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
The IMPD would like to thank the U.S. Marshals for assistance in this and many other cases. The IMPD would also like to recognize the work done by the Violent Crimes Unit that work tirelessly to get the most violent offenders off the streets of Indianapolis.
