Hillsdale Man Arrested for Child Exploitation

Vermillion County – Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation in April 2019, after receiving information from the Connecticut State Police that a 12 year old female had been exploited by an individual in the state of Indiana.  

The Investigation revealed that a Leonard D. Beebe, age 53 of Hillsdale, Indiana, allegedly had been engaging in child exploitation with a minor.  

After reviewing the investigation, the Vermillion County Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Beebe on August 5, 2019.  Beebe turned himself into the Vermillion County Sheriff’s office and bonded out.

Investigating Officer:  Indiana State Police Master Trooper Detective Jason Schoffstall of the Putnamville State Police Post.

Assisting Agencies:  Connecticut State Police. 

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
