Hendricks County planning for Indiana's Bicentennial celebration

Planning for a massive, year-long celebration to commemorate Indiana’s Bicentennial or 200th anniversary as a state has begun, and help is needed at the local level to plan activities in Hendricks County in 2016.

Local residents, business and civic leaders interested in learning about volunteer opportunities are encouraged to attend a Bicentennial celebration kickoff at 6 p.m., Sept. 29 at Visit Hendricks County, 8 W. Main St. in Danville. The meeting will include details of state and local plans for 2016 and ways locals can become involved in planning and/or overseeing this project in Hendricks County.
