The Hendricks County Community Foundation (HCCF) recently awarded 15 Hendricks County-serving nonprofits with organization-focused videos to help tell their story in the community. As part of their “Commitment to Community Partners,” the Community Foundation asks grant applicants, “Besides money, what else could the Community Foundation do to help?” 71% of grant applicants requested assistance with storytelling and increasing their public profile.
In response, HCCF has partnered with ASH Interactive to produce “evergreen” videos for these organizations. In today’s digital landscape, video is the one of the most effective ways to cut through the noise and build a meaningful connection with the public. By focusing on an organization’s core mission and vision rather than a specific project, these videos provide a high-quality asset with long-term promotional value.
“We’re excited to expand what it means to partner with nonprofits serving our community,” says William Rhodehamel, HCCF President & CEO. “We can’t fund every need, but if we can help promote their work, we hope the community will join us to close the funding gaps at these vital organizations.”
The 15 recipient organizations for the 2026 cycle include:
- Building Essential Skills Together Inc. (BEST)
- Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, Inc.
- Hendricks County Child Advocacy Center (Susie’s Place)
- Hendricks County Humane Society
- Hendricks County International Festival
- Hendricks County Pride
- Hendricks County Senior Services
- Hope Healthcare Services
- Jameson Camp
- Misty Eyes Animal Center
- Pathway of Hope Incorporated
- Safe Families for Children Central Indiana
- Sheltering Wings
- Strides to Success
- The Gathering Together
“In addition to the obvious benefit and value of a professional video, it will be a great opportunity for our volunteers to express their creativity in coming up with ideas to make an engaging video,” says Carol Battistini, President of the Hendricks County Humane Society.
The videos will be produced throughout 2026 and will be co-owned by the nonprofits and HCCF. All completed videos will be hosted on the Community Foundation’s YouTube page. HCCF plans to continue this supplemental program over the next three years to ensure as many grantees as possible can benefit from professional media assets.
