Gov. Holcomb Announces Judicial Appointment for Henry County Circuit Court III Vacancy

INDIANAPOLIS – Governor Eric J. Holcomb today announced David Lynn McCord as his appointment to the Henry County Circuit Court III.

Mr. McCord is a longstanding resident and attorney in Henry County who has extensive experience not only in the private practice of law but also as a prosecutor. His general practice of law included matters involving landlord-tenant, family, real estate, municipal, estate planning and personal injury. In addition to his 15 years of private practice, Mr. McCord has served as a deputy prosecutor in Henry County since 2012 and as chief deputy prosecutor since 2014.

Mr. McCord has been active for many years in several community organizations, serving on the board of directors of both the Henry County Community Foundation and Friends of Hope. He also is a member and past president of the Henry County Bar Association.

Mr. McCord received his undergraduate degree from Ball State University and his law degree from Indiana University School of Law.

Mr. McCord will be sworn into office on a mutually agreeable date to be determined.
