The Avon-Washington Township Public Library (AWTPL) presents their 20th annual fundraising event, ArtScape @ Your Library on Saturday, April 18, 7–9 p.m. ArtScape is a special evening celebrating the library and our community after-hours at AWTPL, 498 N. Avon Ave., Avon, IN. Guests can enjoy music, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and drinks while talking with artists and bidding on items in our silent auction. Purchase artwork from professional Indiana Artists as well as talented students from Avon High School. Featured artists include JD Bills (painting), Janette Fluharty (fused glass), Claire Hathaway (jewelry), Sabrina Zhou (painting), and Judy LaMere (ceramics). In addition to the robust online silent auction, a few items will be up for grabs in a live auction which starts at 8 p.m.
ArtScape is a celebratory evening filled with fun, and it is also the library’s biggest fundraiser of the year. This year, money raised through ticket sales, sponsorships, donations, and silent auction purchases will be used to purchase new furniture and engaging toys for the renovated play space in the Children’s Department. Any extra funds will go to support free programs and services at the library such as Sensory Storytime and Just Dance! With the Indianapolis Ballet.
