Coatesville- On 08/29/2024 at approximately 10:08am Hendricks County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on SR 75 near the intersection of Co Rd 600S just south of Coatesville.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a gray Kia SUV was traveling southbound on SR 75 when, for a yet undetermined reason, it crossed into the northbound lanes of SR 75 and was struck head on by a White dump truck that was traveling northbound on SR 75. The driver and sole occupant of the Kia SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as Bruce Freeland, 61, of Coatesville.
State Road 75 was closed for several hours before reopening for routine travel. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Freeland family as they continue to navigate the tragic loss of their loved one.
