Death Investigation Underway in Vermillion County

Vermillion County—Indiana State Police Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are investigating two (2) deaths at 528 S. Main St. in Clinton. The deceased are adults, one male and one female. The deceased were discovered around 11:00 AM.

 At approximately 11:15 this afternoon, Indiana State Police responded to 528 S. Main St. in Clinton on reports of two deceased individuals. The Indiana State Police requested and were issued a search warrant by the Vermillion County Prosecutors office for the residence. Once inside detectives located two bodies.  One adult male and one adult female. Crime scene investigators from the Indiana State Police Putnamville post were contacted to process the scene.  At this time there appears to be no public safety concern. However full results will not be known until the autopsy is completed. Detectives are currently conducting interviews to determine what happened.

 An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow, May 19th 2017 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

Investigation is ongoing.

 ISP Detective Don Anglin is the lead investigator. Assisting at the scene were ISP Detectives Sgt. Sam Stearley, Michael Feathering, Tony Guinn, 1st Sgt. Jason Fajt, and Troy Cobb. ISP Crime scene investigators Sgt. Brandon Mullen and Sgt. Jim Cody were also on scene. Also assisting were the Vermillion County Coroner’s office, Clinton Police Department, and the Vermillion County Prosecutors office.
