Dates set for Brownsburg Taxidermist ordered to return property of customers

Hendricks Co – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating Kevin McGrotty, the owner of Brownsburg Taxidermy located in Brownsburg, IN.  On September 26 search and arrest warrants were served on McGrotty and his business.  McGrotty was jailed and charged with Corrupt Business Practice and multiple counts of Theft.

The court has now ordered McGrotty to return property to customers still in the possession of Brownsburg Taxidermy.  In order to facilitate these returns in an orderly fashion and provide the proper documentation for the court, Indiana Conservation Officers will be assisting in the exchange.

All customers of Brownsburg Taxidermy that wish to get their property back may attend one of the three dates set up for this exchange.  Customers will need to bring any receipts, cancelled checks or other items that may show ownership of an item, as well as some form of identification.  If the owner of an item cannot make one of these dates, it will be acceptable to send a representative with the proper documentation.

The dates that customers will be able to retrieve their items from Brownsburg Taxidermy (9630 N State Road 267, Brownsburg) are as follows:

Wed. October 25 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Sun. October 29 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Thur. November 2 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Please note that DNR and/or other law enforcement agencies are ONLY assisting in the orderly and safe return of property currently held by Brownsburg Taxidermy to the rightful owners. DNR will not take custody of any property currently held by Brownsburg Taxidermy and is not responsible for any damage to the property. No return of deposits will occur on the above dates and times. In the event, that customers are unable to get their property on the dates and times indicated above, or seek return of deposits, they may seek such remedies in civil court.
