The Town of Avon announced that construction on Avon Ave will begin April 4, 2016.
Project limits will be from the north side of US 36 / Avon Ave to 530’ north of White Oak Dr (Oak Bend Subdivision). Project entails asphalt base repair, asphalt resurfacing, storm pipe installation, and minor concrete work.
Contract permits the contractor to work from the hours of 7 am – 7 pm. Realistically work will probably start and end later than these hours to avoid peak traffic flows in the morning and evening.
Drivers should expect one lane restrictions throughout the project. At this time, the Town does not intend to have a full road closure for this project.
