Conservation Officers searching Clear Lake for missing wakesurfer

Conservation Officers are searching Clear Lake in Steuben County for a missing wakesurfer.  At approximately 6:42 PM last night, Steuben County 911 received a call about a wakesurfer who fell, went under the water and did not resurface.

Divers searched the area where the wakesurfer was last seen, but were unable to locate the victim.

Search efforts were suspended at approximately 10:00 PM and will resume this morning.

Conservation Officers were assisted by the Angola Fire Department, Fremont Fire Department, Steuben County Sheriff’s Department, Fremont Police Department, and Steuben County EMS.
