Community Tips Lead to Three Arrests in Montezuma

ISP SmallParke County—This afternoon at 12:30, numerous tips from the community led Indiana State Police troopers from the Putnamville District Drug Task Force, along with Parke County Sheriff’s deputies to a residence at 494 Madison Street in Montezuma. 

Officers initially observed items commonly associated with illegal drug use in plain view. After obtaining and executing a Parke County Circuit Court search warrant, officers located other items of drug paraphernalia, approximately six grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately one ounce of suspected marijuana, and additional items associated with the distribution of illegal drugs.

 

Arrested:         Anthony E. Garrett, age 55, of the address

Charges:          Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Reckless Possession of Paraphernalia, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

 

Arrested:         Casey E. Garrett, age 27, of Montezuma, IN.

Charges:          Possession of Marijuana, Reckless Possession of Paraphernalia, and Visiting a Common Nuisance.

 

Arrested:         Shannon L. Stratton, age 28, of Montezuma, IN.

Charges:          Possession of Marijuana, Reckless Possession of Paraphernalia, Visiting a Common Nuisance.

All incarcerated in the Parke County Jail.
