Coats Named 2015 “Hero of Main Street”

INDIANAPOLIS – Senator Dan Coats (R-Ind.) has been named a 2015 Hero of Main Street by the National Retail Federation for advocating federal policies that support the growth of local retailers.

“Indiana’s recent economic successes are driven by Hoosier small businesses, and we need to continue to encourage them through the right federal policies,” said Coats. “Creating a climate where Main Street can grow and expand will benefit all Hoosiers.”

The award is based on voting record, bill sponsorship and efforts to reform the Affordable Care Act and U.S. Tax Code.
