CARMEL, Ind. (Oct. 11, 2017) – CleanSlate Technology Group, a cloud consulting and software asset management company, today announced its plans to expand its operations in Hamilton County, creating up to 50 new jobs by 2020.
“Innovation is alive and well in Indiana. Today, the Hoosier state is home to countless technology success stories like CleanSlate that are helping the state garner national recognition as a leader in innovation,” said Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger. “Our talented pool of Hoosier workers paired with our low cost of living and pro-growth business climate make Indiana an ideal place to start a business, grow a business and get a job.”
The company, which is one of the largest IBM resellers in the world, will invest more than $1 million to double its footprint at its current 4,000-square-foot headquarters, expanding to the second floor at 2071 Broughton St. in Carmel. With its growth, CleanSlate will occupy the first and second floors in the building. Renovations are expected to be complete at the beginning of 2018, allowing the company to accommodate the expansion of its IBM sales team and growth of its consulting practices in software asset management, cloud computing, integration, mobile development and IT security.
CleanSlate employs nearly 40 full-time employees at its Indiana headquarters. With its growth, the company is currently hiring consultants with knowledge in customer relationship management, cloud management, application program interface, mobile application development and developer operations. These new positions are expected to pay on average more than 60 percent higher than the state’s average wage. Interested applicants may send a resume and cover letter to info@cleanslatetg.com.
“We believe Indiana and Indianapolis is an ideal place to grow our business,” said Chris Konow, vice president of consulting services for CleanSlate Technology Group. “This region has a low cost of living, a great pool of qualified candidates from local universities and colleges, and a strong sense of community with employees choosing to grow with their companies and build careers. We have great access to a talented robust employee pipeline, and we believe CleanSlate can provide the career opportunities and work-life balance that employees are seeking.”
Founded in 2000 as a seller of IBM software, CleanSlate now offers services in cloud consulting, software asset management and mobile application development, partnering with companies like Salesforce, MuleSoft, IBM, CheckMarx, AWS and ServiceNow. The company, which was named one of Indiana’s best places to work this year, focuses on creating a great work environment and utilizing new technologies to serve CleanSlate’s customers located across the nation. The company’s clients include KAR Auction Services, Geico, Wells Fargo, Honda, Citigroup, CNO Financial and Kroger. Additionally, the company chooses philanthropic organizations to support each year, contributing to Gleaners Food Bank and United Christmas Service in 2017.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered CSTG Inc. up to $925,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $200,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. These incentives are performance based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Carmel supports this project.
“The city of Carmel has worked hard to create a high-quality community with amenities designed to attract companies and a well-educated workforce to fill jobs in a variety of business sectors. This news confirms that the plan is working, particularly in the field of high technology,” said Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard. “Congratulations to CleanSlate and to the Village of West Clay on this exciting news. We look forward to watching you grow.”
Central Indiana has developed as a top U.S. technology hub, with tech-related jobs growing in the region at a rate that is double the U.S. average and the fifth fastest growing in the nation, according to commercial real estate firm CBRE. To continue to bolster the state’s growing economy, Indiana is working to strengthen and accelerate Hoosier innovation, ensuring Indiana plays a leading role in solving 21st century challenges.
