Clay County Search Warrant Leads to Two Arrests

Clay County—Last evening at 7:23, acting on community tips and other investigative information, Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section investigators, with assistance from Putnamville District troopers, served a search warrant at 605 North Columbia Street in Brazil, IN.

During a search of the residence, approximately (4) grams of Methamphetamine; approximately (25) grams of Marijuana; (10) Vicodin pills; (9) Xanax pills, and $326 in US Currency were found.

Arrested: Gary L. King II, age 37, of Brazil. King was charged with Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Hypodermic Syringe, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Arrested: Rebecca L. Pefley, age 19, of Brazil. Pefley was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Both taken to the Clay County Jail.

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
