Indiana, the state known for the many cornfields, friendly people, and their traditional but fun auto races has much more to offer. It is also a safer place to live because of the collaboration of the citizens and law enforcement. Whats even better about this is not one but two of Hendricks Counties’ towns made it in the Top 20 Safest Cities in Indiana.
Ranking 16th and 20th both towns have been known for their more friendly folks and traditional values. To identify the safest cities of Indiana, Safewise conducted and reviewed the 2015 FBI Crime Report Statistics. Number 16 is known for their famous named residents, but also known as the town of Brownsburg.
Brownsburg was previously ranked 18th, but moved up two spots because of the significant drop in crime. The violent crimes per 1,000 is 1.47, and the property crimes per 1,000 is 15.82.
Number 20 on the list, known for their Mayberry in the Midwest Festival replicating similarities to the Andy Griffith show is…….. Danville.
Danville made the chart with violent crimes per 1,000 being 2.06, and the property crime being 15.93.
This is a proud moment for Hendricks County because the ranking of both towns. This not only may be an advantage for the county, but this means that citizens and the law enforcement are working together to prevent and fight crime to make their home a safer place.
