Bridge repair work begins this week on US 36 in Avon

HENDRICKS AND MORGAN COUNTIES, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces work will begin this week on the U.S. 36 Bridges over Abner Creek, located just over two miles west of S.R. 267 in Avon.  Traffic will be restricted to one 16’ lane in each direction on the bridges.  Work is scheduled to last through May 22, weather permitting.

RAM Construction Services of Michigan Inc., was awarded the $607,799 thin deck overlay contract.  This project includes these other bridges, S.R. 42 over Little White Lick Creek, located just west of S.R. 267 and the work on the  S.R. 42 bridge over White Lick Creek, located west of S.R. 267 is already underway.

This project is scheduled for completion in late September.
