PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces a bridge deck overlay project will close Putnam County Road 1000 East over I-70 on or after Wednesday, June 15. The contractor will be overlaying the bridge deck over the interstate. The roadway is scheduled to reopen on July 15. The detour utilizes Little Point Road.
This project was awarded to CLR, Inc. for $1 million. This contract also includes several bridges over I-70 in Clay, Putnam and Vigo Counties.
INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
