Avon Nova Award Winner Chelsea Neiswinger

The February 2022 Avon Nova award winner is a Chelsea Nieswinger. Chelsea, and her husband Brad have lived in Avon Indiana since 2017 with their 7-year-old son Owen, and 4 year old son Emmett. She currently owns and operates her online media company from her home, which means she is not only a resident of Avon, but she is also a small business owner!

When Communications Director Jared Wade was chatting with her Husband Brad, he mentioned that Chelsea “enjoys taking their kids to the parks in and around town”. At some point in the future anyone in Avon might see Chelsea, Owen and Emmett walking the trails, or playing on the playground. If you do, take a moment and say hello.

The Avon Nova award is focused on small, everyday good things that the community is doing. Brad shared with us… “I want to nominate my wife, Chelsea Neiswinger for her work in getting baby travel systems to refugees from Afghanistan that were staying at Camp Atterbury.”

Neiswinger continued “Using her social media platforms she put a call out to gather monetary donations as well as made her own totaling $7,800 which resulted in the purchase of 50 systems to send to Camp Atterbury. Her work meant that every expectant and new mother at the refugee camp had a car seat and stroller to use and keep once they obtained residency in the US. I knew when I saw the town was looking for good news stories that this fit the bill.”

Chelsea, thank you for being a shining light in Avon….

Thank you for using your skills and talents to help those that are in need…

Thank you for being there for mothers and families when they needed someone…

Thank you for all you have done, all you do, and all you will do in the future with Brad, Owen and Emmett by your side.

On behalf of the entire Town of Avon, we present our February 2022 Avon Nova winner… Chelsea Neiswinger!
