PLAINFIELD, IN (July 2, 2025) – Want to make a difference while being part of one of Hendricks County’s most impactful community events? The Back Your Badge Marathon is calling on dedicated volunteers to help bring this year’s event to life on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
From water stations and course marshals to check-in support and finish line cheering sections, volunteers play a critical role in making race day safe, fun and memorable for participants and spectators alike. The 2024 event raised over $15,000 for public safety-related causes — and with your help, 2025 will be even bigger.
“This event doesn’t happen without our volunteers,” said Greg Williams, Race Director. “They are the heartbeat of race day, and they help us create an experience that honors and supports our local police, fire and 911 personnel.”
Volunteer shifts are available for individuals, families, school groups and service organizations. All volunteers will receive a race crew T-shirt, refreshments and a front-row seat to the inspiring stories and energy that make the Back Your Badge Marathon a standout event.
