Student pages visit Steuerwald at the Statehouse during 2020 session

STATEHOUSE (April 7, 2020) – State Rep. Greg Steuerwald (R-Avon) recently welcomed student pages to the Statehouse during the 2020 Legislative Session:

• Sophia Angeles, from Brownsburg, attends Brownsburg High School;
• Reese Langhorne, from Indianapolis, attends Brownsburg High School;
• Jaylin Nugent, from Avon, attends Avon High School;
• Kaily Nugent, from Avon, attends Avon Middle School South;
• Tyara Scates, from Indianapolis, attends Brownsburg High School; and
• Merrin Woods, from Indianapolis, attends Brownsburg High School.

Through the Indiana House Page Program, these students toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, helped staff with daily responsibilities and joined Steuerwald on the House floor to witness the legislative process.

“As pages, these students listened to lawmakers debate and collaborate on legislation impacting their communities,” Steuerwald said. “These young Hoosiers will one day lead our state, and this experience will serve them well.”

Steuerwald said students between the ages of 13 and 18 should consider participating in 2021.
