Near Collision With a State Police Commission Lands One in Jail for DUI

Vigo County – December 2, 2019, at approximately 11:40 p.m., Jeffrey Rohrer, age 59, of Montgomery, Indiana was stopped for disregarding a stop sign and almost striking a State Police commission at 1st Street and Sycamore Street, by Trooper Gerald Stump.  Further investigation by Trooper Stump revealed that Rohrer displayed signs of impairment and had a blood alcohol content of .11%.  Rohrer was taken to the Vigo County Jail.

Operating a vehicle while intoxicated (prior), Class 6 Felony

Operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, Class C Misdemeanor

All Suspects Are Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law.
