Banks Statement on President Trump’s Budget Proposal

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03) today issued the following statement after the release of President Trump’s Fiscal Year 2019 budget proposal: 

“I support the administration’s focus on cutting wasteful spending. With entitlement programs being the key driver of our national debt, Congress must work with the administration to make the necessary reforms to get our fiscal house in order.  

“The president’s budget prioritizes fully funding our men and women in uniform while also working to significantly reduce our nation’s deficit.”
