Indy Metro Homicide detectives investigating after male found dead in vacant home

INDIANAPOLIS –Just after 9:00 p.m., on January 18, 2018, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were called to the 4000 block of Stratford Ct. reference a deceased person run.  When officers arrived they located an adult male deceased inside a vacant townhouse who had apparent trauma on his person.  Homicide detectives were called to the scene.

The Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist with identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence.  The Marion County Coroner’s Office (MCCO) will be assisting and will determine the exact manner and cause of death. The name of the victim can be obtained from the MCCO after proper next-of-kin notification has been made.
