Brian Scott – Operations Manager

Brian Scott

Along with Shane Ray, Brian Scott is one of the original DJ’s when 98.9 WYRZ first took to the airwaves back on October 27th of 2015 and has been hosting The Morning Drive ever since. But residents of Hendricks County have been hearing his voice since 2008 when he started calling Brownsburg High School football for 1610 AM XRB and XRBradio.com. Since that time, he has been heard calling many high school football, basketball and baseball games of teams across Hendricks County.

In 2010, Brian became the news and sports director for 1610 AM XRB compiling, producing, and anchoring the daily newsbreaks as well as continuing his work producing and calling high school sports. He also hosted The Breakfast Show and several coaches shows that were aired on 1610 AM XRB.

Since 98.9 WYRZ’s inception, Brian has hosted The Morning Drive heard weekdays from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. He continues playing the favorites from 60’s, 70’s and 80’s until 1 p.m. in the afternoons.

Brian is married to the love of his life Alissa and they live out in the country with their cats. An avid sports nut, Brian is a huge fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers. Brian grew up in the Columbus Ohio area so he is also a diehard fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. Of course, music is also a passion of his, especially rock music from the 70’s all the way to today. Brian also loves to play guitar (not well mind you) and loves to amaze friends and family by playing guitar, watching sports and carrying on a conversation all at the same time. Yet he still can’t sing and play the guitar at the same time.

Brian can be reached at brian@wyrz.org.
