Hendricks County’s announcement that the county will adopt the vote center method of voting drew praise from Secretary of State Connie Lawson this morning.
“Congratulations to Hendricks County on the decision to become a vote center county,” Lawson said in a press release this morning. “With this decision, there are now 36 counties across the State who have adopted the vote center model.
Lawson went on to say, “Hoosiers from every corner of Indiana have expressed their appreciation for the convenience and cost-savings of vote centers, and as a proponent of vote centers – and a proud resident of Danville – I am excited to see this plan put into action.
I commend Clerk Hoskins and the leaders of Hendricks County for working hard to put this plan together. A plan of this size is never easy to implement, but because of their diligence and commitment, an innovative vote center plan is coming to Hendricks County.”
