INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces concrete patching on I-70 in both eastbound and westbound lanes between Holt Road and the south split. The project is anticipated to begin Thursday, Aug. 8 and only happen for the next three weekends (Thursday through Monday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.).
Concrete patching is a preservation method allowing crews to remove and replace small sections of damaged roadway.
Westbound traffic on I-70 will be reduced to one lane from the south split to about Holt Road exit 77. I-65 northbound ramp to I-70 westbound will be closed for this work. The Holt Road exit ramp will remain open.
Eastbound traffic on I-70 will also be reduced to one lane from east of the Holt Road exit 77 to east of the Harding Street exit 78. Traffic will still be able to exit onto Harding Street, but the on ramp from Harding Street going I-70 eastbound will be closed as crews work in that area.
The project is anticipated to be completed by the last week in August, weather permitting.
