Visit Indiana's The 20 IN 20 Sweet Spots for you Sweet Tooth

INDIANAPOLIS (January 29, 2020) – One of the top holidays for giving candy is quickly approaching, Valentine’s Day. Saint Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be complete without chocolates, pies and sweets of any kind. Visit Indiana’s fourth The 20 IN 20 list features sweet shops, just in time for this holiday. All year, Visit Indiana will reveal 20 lists of 20 must see, must-do Indiana experiences, one at a time.

“Our Hoosier shops and businesses are the true heart of the Midwest and they play an important role in the big business of chocolate confectionary,” said Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch. “Nearly $16 billion in chocolate confectionery products and over $11 billion in non-chocolate products are shipped by manufacturers each year across the United States.”

Many Indiana chocolatiers and candy makers have been around for decades delivering products across the state and for some, around the country.

“These family-owned businesses are expanding the footprint of Indiana by gaining national recognition,” said Misty Weisensteiner, director of Indiana Office of Tourism Development. “The accolades are quite impressive and help to put the Hoosier State on the map.”
