DANVILLE, IN (Dec. 20, 2024) –Visit Hendricks County (VHC) has hired a new team member to oversee its digital content and promoted three other staffers into new roles that will help the organization execute its new strategic plan.
“As we enter 2025, we want to be able to lead with efficiency and excellence,” said Jaime Bohler Smith, Executive Director/CEO of Hendricks County. “These staffing additions and changes will allow us to better meet the needs of our new strategic pillars that were recently announced.”
Ali Adams joins the organization as VHC’s new Digital Content Coordinator after spending more than three years at Visit Anderson Madison County as the Social Media Coordinator and Digital Content Manager. She is a graduate of Anderson University, and is originally from Bedford, Indiana.
As Digital Content Coordinator at VHC, Adams will serve on the marketing team overseeing its organic and paid social media efforts, content creation and maintaining its events calendar.
Three other VHC team members also received promotions to new roles that will continue positioning the organization as a regional leader in the travel and tourism industry.
“We are thrilled to move two of our valued marketing staff members into new roles, allowing their talents to better drive our strategic decisions,” said Kyle Johnson, Director (VP) of Marketing Strategy. “They will play important roles in executing our marketing strategy and managing our workflow to serve Hendricks County visitors and residents.”
Kim Fox, who has worked for Visit Hendricks County for more than seven years, was promoted to a senior managerial role within the organization. She will now help VHC and its partners monitor all tourism-related data and research in her new role as Senior Research and Data Manager.
Meghan Waggoner, in her eighth year, previously managed most of Visit Hendricks County’s digital content and its events calendar. She will now oversee the organization’s website and video marketing strategy as the new Tourism Marketing Manager.
Karen Eddy, in her 12th year, was named Resources Manager. Serving as the primary bookkeeper and human resources support person, she will manage all accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintain records, administer approval of benefits and provide support for the Board of Directors and Tourism Commission.
