US 421 work begins in Boone County April 27

BOONE AND CLINTON COUNTIES, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces U.S. 421 will be down to one 10’ lane located just over one mile south of State Road 47, near Boone C.R. 500 N. beginning on or after Monday, April 27.  Motorists will be controlled at the bridge with a traffic signal. This is to replace the small structure over Campbell Ditch and is scheduled for completion in early June.

The project also includes a small structure replacement in Clinton County on U.S. 421 located approximately one and one half mile south of S.R. 28, notification will be sent out prior to work beginning in this area.  The contract was awarded to Morphey Construction, Inc. for $1.3 million.
