U.S. Marshall’s Task Force and IMPD Officers apprehend Murder Suspect

INDIANAPOLIS – The U.S. Marshall’s Task Force, with the assistance of Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers, made apprehension of a suspect wanted for Murder out of St. Joseph County.

Just before 4p.m. on 04/28/2016, the U.S. Marshall’s Task Force and IMPD officers, through the use of investigative techniques, located a suspect wanted for Murder out of St. Joseph County, in the area of 10th St and Bosart Ave. The suspect, 21-year-old Howard Fleming, was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect had a handgun as well as cocaine when he was arrested. On top of his Murder warrant out of St. Joseph County, he will face preliminary charges in Marion County for Possession of a Handgun without a License and Possession of Cocaine

This is another great example of an inter-agency collaborative effort, which resulted in taking an armed and dangerous suspect off the streets of Indianapolis safely and without incident.
