HENDRICKS AND MORGAN COUNTIES, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces State Road 42 will close on Friday, June 12 at 9 p.m. in Mooresville. This is for a thin deck overlay on the S.R. 42 Bridge located just west of the S.R. 67/S.R. 144 intersection. The road will reopen on Monday, June 15 by 7 a.m. The contract allows for additional weekend closures, however the contractor hopes to complete all work this time.
The official detour follows S.R. 67 to South Indiana St. to S.R. 42.
RAM Construction Services of Michigan Inc., was awarded the $607,799 thin deck overlay contract. This project includes these other bridges with work already underway, S.R. 42 over Little White Lick Creek, located just west of S.R. 267 and the U.S. 36 Bridges over Abner Creek, located just over two miles west of S.R. 267 in Avon
This project is scheduled for completion in late September.
