State Police Detectives Investigating Indianapolis Area Interstate Shooting

Indianapolis, IN – Indiana State Police detectives spent the day Saturday investigating an early morning interstate shooting along I-70. Troopers were called to the area of I-70 and Keystone Avenue yesterday morning just after 4:00 a.m. for reports of a person shot. The victim of the shooting, who was driving along I-70 when her vehicle was shot at, had driven off the interstate to contact police. She was struck by a bullet in the upper leg however the injury is believed to be non-life threatening. 

Detectives spent the day following leads which eventually led them to serving two search warrants. The State Police Central SWAT team assisted with those warrants. There have not been any arrests made in connection to this shooting, however investigators do not believe this was a random act.

This investigation is ongoing and there is no further information to release at this time.
