Secretary of State announces launch of enhanced Securities Portal

INDIANAPOLIS (December 18, 2019) — The Indiana Securities Division has finalized updates on its revamped web portal for filings and payments, Secretary of State Connie Lawson announced today. The Securities Portal initially launched in December 2018.  The updated Securities Portal continues the trend of the office working to modernize state government, following the development of the highly acclaimed INBiz portal for businesses, and the streamlined application database for Indiana Notaries Public.

“We are constantly looking for ways to make state government better, faster, and more user-friendly, and the launch of our Securities Portal is yet another success,” said Secretary Lawson. “By making it easier for Hoosiers to submit applications, filings, and information requests online, we are removing a layer of red tape and giving Hoosiers the government service they deserve.”

In addition to making the site easier to navigate, the Securities Portal updates include the creation of a series of General Information pages which outline all the necessary requirements and filings for a registration.  Previously, an applicant had to consult multiple resources to determine next steps.  The new information structure provides a much needed one-stop resource for industry professionals, constituents and Division personnel.

”A one-stop constituent-friendly solution has been the goal since day one of the project,” said Securities Commissioner Alex Glass.  “Extremely positive feedback for the initial Portal functionality over the past year helped us recognize how the Portal could be further enhanced to meet the needs of constituents and industry members.”

Starting January 1, 2020, all filings, amendments, supplemental materials and associated payments will only be accepted through the Securities Portal.

The Securities Portal can be accessed at https://securities.sos.in.gov.
