WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Todd Rokita, Vice Chairman of the House Budget Committee, released this statement following a meeting with Vice President Mike Pence to discuss and work on the American Health Care Reform Act.
“Following yesterday’s discussion with President Trump on the repeal of ObamaCare and the replacement legislation coming to the House Budget Committee next week, I met with my friend Vice President Mike Pence to continue the conversation. Having both served as elected officials from Indiana, the Vice President and I know that Obamacare is failing Hoosiers and leading to higher costs and fewer choices.
“We agree that we must use this opportunity to fix our health care system and reform entitlement programs like Medicaid so that they will still exist for the next generation of Hoosiers. I told the Vice President that I look forward to continuing working with him and the President on the House bill as it goes through the reconciliation process.”
