Plainfield Police Looking for Suspect in Vehicle Break-ins

Between yesterday’s date September 24, 2018 and today’s date September 25, 2018, Plainfield Police Officers took reports of five vehicle break-ins in the warehouse area of the Town of Plainfield.

Yesterday, it was reported that a White Male in a Red Jeep was looking inside of vehicles at the Pep Boys Warehouse at 807 Perry Rd.  It was also reported that the same White Male with the description of 5’10” and 220-250 pounds with a scruffy beard wearing shorts and a t-shirt broke into two vehicles in the TKO warehouse parking lot at 2751 Stafford Rd.

Today, Plainfield Officers took a report of three vehicles broken into at the Ryder Warehouse at 2801 Airwest Blvd. The victims were leaving work and attempted to talk to the suspect described as the same White Male as the one who stole items the previous day.  He was walking around the west side of the building, got into an older model Gold Toyota Camry and sped out of the parking lot.

The suspect was able to gain entry into the majority of the vehicles because they were left unlocked.  The suspect did break the door handle on one vehicle to gain access.  While no items were left in plain sight in that vehicle, he was still able to steal items contained in the glove box.

Plainfield Police Department urges everyone to lock their vehicle doors and remove any item from plain sight to help prevent vehicle break-ins.

If you have any information in regards to identifying the White Male suspect, please contact the Plainfield Police Department at 317-839-8700.

Plainfield Police Department maintains that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
