Patching operation on I-70 starting June 17 in multiple counties

PUTNAM, MORGAN & HENDRICKS COUNTIES, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions on I-70 westbound between State Road 39 and U.S. 231 for patchwork starting on or after Friday, June 17. The westbound lane will be restricted to 12-feet on Friday, starting at 9 p.m. to the following Friday at 6 a.m., and will repeat. This will last through the beginning of August, weather permitting. 

An alternate route is S.R. 267 to U.S. 40 to U.S. 231 and back to I-70.

This project was awarded to Rieth Riley Construction for $17.2 million. It also includes patchwork on I-70 from approximately 0.48 miles west of S.R. 59 to approximately 6.4 miles east of S.R. 59.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
