Olympic Medal Winner Chloe Dygert Honored in Brownsburg

On September 12, Brownsburg Town Council President Travis Tschaenn issued a proclamation honoring hometown hero Chloe Dygert, a member of the US women’s cycling team. Dygert returned to Brownsburg in November to accept the proclamation.

Dygert won a gold medal in the 4,000-meter team pursuit at the 2024 Paris Olympics and also secured a bronze medal in the women’s individual time trial. A talented road and track cyclist, this victory marks the third time Dygert has brought home Olympic medals.

“Chloe’ Dygert has represented our town, state, and country with remarkable talent, determination, and perseverance, exemplifying the highest standards of athletic excellence in the 2024 Olympic Games,” Tschaenn stated.

The proclamation declared Dygert as “Brownsburg’s Olympian” and celebrated her outstanding achievements.

“Chloe’ Dygert is an inspiration to young athletes in Brownsburg, embodying the values of hard work, resilience, and integrity,” Tschaenn said. “We wish her well in her future races.”

In addition to her accomplishments with this year’s women’s national team, Dygert holds 12 world championship titles and four Olympic medals.

“We are very proud that she calls Brownsburg her hometown and that she represents us so well,” noted Tschaenn.
