Ohio Man Killed in Vigo County Motorcycle Crash

ISP SmallVigo County—At 12:50 Saturday afternoon, Indiana State Police responded to a motorcycle crash on I-70 near the 8 mile marker. The crash left one dead.

Preliminary investigation revealed a red 2008 Honda motorcycle traveling Westbound on I-70, for unknown reasons lost control near the 8 mile marker and left the roadway striking the guardrail. The motorcycle was driven by 58 year old Thomas A. Wendel of Coldwater, OH. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle after striking the guardrail. The driver and the motorcycle both ended up on the north side of the interstate.

Deceased:                             Thomas A. Wendel, age 58, Coldwater, Ohio

The crash was investigated by ISP Trooper Hans Nowak. Assisting were ISP Troopers Jason Owen and Ted Robertson.
