More Child Molesting Charges Filed Against Thomas Julian

Vigo County—Today, Indiana State Police Detective Tony Guinn filed additional charges against 67-year-old Thomas W. Julian of rural Vigo County. Thomas Julian is currently in the Vigo County Jail after being originally arrested on June 23, 2015 on charges of child exploitation and child pornography.

Additional charges filed today:

Count1: Child Molesting

Count 2: Child Solicitation

Today’s charges stem from a new female victim that came forward after the initial arrest of Thomas Julian on June 23, 2015. After receiving the new information in early July, Detective Guinn was able to develop new probable cause that indicated Thomas Julian is alleged to have had sexual relations with the latest victim in Vigo County in July of 2010. The victim was then eight years old.

Thomas Julian was originally arrested on June 23, 2015 after ISP Detectives from the Putnamville Post and investigators from the ISP Cybercrime and Investigative Technologies Section, as part of the Indiana Crimes Against Children Task Force, served a Vigo County Div 3 Court Search Warrant at Julian’s home at 2249 East Cottom Drive, Terre Haute, IN. At that time, officers located items related to child pornography and the production of child pornography. Julian was then charged with (3) counts of child exploitation and (1) count of possession of child pornography. Then on July 9, 2015, after identifying two victims, ISP Detective Tony Guinn filed additional charges against Thomas Julian for (8) counts of child molesting; (2) counts of child exploitation; (4) counts of child solicitation; and (1) count of possession of child pornography.

Anyone who has information about Thomas Julian or believes they or someone they know is a victim of Thomas Julian is urged to contact ISP Detective Tony Guinn at the Putnamville Post at 765-653-4114.

Assisting during the latest investigation were the Vigo County Prosecutor’s Office and Susie’s Place Child Advocacy Center in Avon, Indiana.
