John Crane Announces State Senate Campaign

John CraneAvon, IN – January 27, 2016 – John Crane, Founder and CEO of the Sagamore Leadership Initiative, today announces his candidacy for State Senate, District 24.

“It’s always healthy to offer voters a choice about who will represent them in the Statehouse,” said Crane. “I want to serve as a conservative alternative for the good people in Hendricks and Putnam Counties who don’t always feel like their values are being adequately represented.”

John has been married to his wife, Jean, for 14 years, and has worked and lived in Hendricks County since 2002. They have four children, ages 7 to 12, and are members at Kingsway Christian Church. He is a lifelong Hoosier and the son of Dr. David and Joan Crane of Martinsville, who are both Vietnam veterans.

John is on the Board of the Indiana Family Institute and is a Colson Fellow with the Colson Center for Christian Worldview. Previously, he was a pastor on staff at Light and Life Church in Avon. He has also been an adjunct professor at Grace College Indianapolis and Marian University.

Through Sagamore, John has committed to investing in next generation leaders. “Given the seriousness of the times in which we live, we must secure a more promising future for those who are coming behind us,” said Crane. “This campaign is an extension of that pursuit.”

An Announcement Event will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at 6:30pm, at the Hendricks County Senior Center, 1201 Sycamore Lane, Danville, IN.
