IMPD Southeast Narcotics Search Warrant leads to four arrests and seizure of drugs

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Southeast District Narcotics detectives, Flex Team officers, with the assistance of SWAT, serve search warrant that led to the arrest of four suspects, and the seizure of cocaine and marijuana.
Just after 2:30 p.m. on 02/15/2018, Narcotics detectives and Flex Team officers, with the assistance of SWAT, served a search warrant in the 4500 blk of E 21st St. Upon entering, four suspects were detained. A search of the residence yielded the following:

  • Marijuana
  • Cocaine
  • 9mm Hi-Point firearm
  • Digital scales
  • Other paraphernalia

The suspects were identified and preliminarily arrested under the following charges:

  • Shawnte Johnson (38) – Visiting a common nuisance
  • Akei Jacobs (29) – Maintaining a common nuisance; Four outstanding warrants
  • James Edwards (39) – Possession of cocaine; maintaining a common nuisance
  • Michael Price (40) – Possession of Marijuana; visiting a common nuisance

All suspects were later transported to the CCB for processing. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a charging decision.
