IMPD Officer Carlos Trincado recognized as 2018 Latino Coalition Leadership Award Recipient

INDIANAPOLIS – Yesterday, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Officer Carlos Trincado received the 2018 Latino Coalition Leadership Award, which recognizes exceptional contributions and leadership in the community. The award follows the IMPD’s return to community-based beat policing in April, which allows officers to get out of their cars and build stronger relationships and trust in the neighborhoods they serve.

Officer Trincado received the award at the Latino Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, Inc.’s statewide conference luncheon. The conference brought together domestic violence advocates and service providers from across the state with a focus on implementing technology that benefits victims and survivors. During the luncheon, IMPD officers stood beside community members for a candlelight vigil honoring victims of domestic violence.
