IMPD Investigates Homicide in the 3200 Block of North Campbell Avenue

INDIANAPOLIS – At approximately 5:00 AM, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to check the welfare of a man in a car located in the 3200 block of North Campbell Avenue.

When they arrived, officers discovered 34-year-old Tommy Turintine had been shot and he was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.  Officers secured the area and called for detectives to investigate his death.

Detectives have learned residents in the area heard a possible gunshot around 3:00 AM; but police were not called to the area at that time.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call police or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS
